ESP8266 ESP-12E Wi-Fi Module is based on the ESP8266EX microcontroller from ESPRESSIF. It is a must-have for any Wi-Fi based projects nowadays. Many of the Wi-Fi based IoT, and automation devices are using this module. This module has inbuilt Wi-Fi along with MCU, so does not need any external microcontroller, it can be used directly. Difference between ESP8266 ESP-12E and ESP-12F Wi-Fi Module: The ESP8266-12E is similar to ESP8266-12F is almost all terms, the only difference is the antenna on the ESP8266-12F has better performance than the antenna on ESP8266-12E. Otherwise, both of them use the same internal SoC chip and same flash. The ESP8266-12F module is RoHS Certified. The ESP8266 12E is more widely accepted in the market than the ESP 12F.
