“Shattered” might not be the �������������� I wanted but oh.my.fraking.god, it IS the �������� ���������� I needed! This novel isn’t gentle to the readers, you will tear up and not in the silent, one noble tear along your cheek kind of way, no in the very inelegant loud sobbing and snot wiping one. At one point I considered giving back my birth-certificate which declares me as “human” but then, oh then there was gazing at the stars, one hell of a sex scene (and being able to fly, will still remain as the one superpower I wish I’d have), the usual “������������-������������” = plot turns you are never prepared for (so I gave up two books ago to try to anticipate anything and simply enjoy the ride), there are two, in words “2”��, you heard me��, ������ ������ ������������ (please don’t try to convince me otherwise, for me Lena AND Nyah are both very ❄icy❄ Ice Queens), there are aliens, this strangely beautiful world “Socotra”, a science nerd WOC Superhero and a hot master manipulator who sucked at school. Right now I have tiny little mind explosions because there’s this: ��”what if in 1916��, 50 aliens�� with superpowers�� would have landed on earth”? I mean – hello history lovers out there – we’re in the middle of WW I and there would be ALIENS!!!!! Okay, I’m getting a little bit overexcited here, but can you blame me? Can you? At the end, there is more gazing at the stars, looking out there, searching, and finally, finally ������������. �� ���� �������� ������ ������������ of this novel, it’s perfect! PS: if you fall in love with the voice and the talent of Abby Craden, it’s okay, I think everyone does a little��♀
